Polymer Gel Pad Use Guide

Intended Use

The Gel Pads are intended for use, with aqueous coupling medium, as conformal contact between an ultrasound probe and skin surface.

Cautions

The Gel Pad is non-sterile and is not intended for use on broken or otherwise irritated skin surfaces. Before use, wash in warm soapy water, rinse well. Pat dry. Do not use if structural integrity compromised in any way. Discard and replace as necessary.

Pads are non-sterile, medical grade polymer mineral oil gel, and are Latex free. Do not place product over open wounds or broken irritated skin Do not use if damaged in any way

In Use

Couple with aqueous gel to facilitate acoustic contact. Place aqueous gel on skin surface under gel pad and additionally place aqueous gel between pad and transducer

How To Use

Step 1

Place acoustic gel on patient area of concern to provide couplant between patient and acoustic standoff pad

Step 2

Apply acoustic standoff pad onto gel

Step 3

Place gel on pad to provide couplant between acoustic standoff pad and transducer

Step 4
